Jackie Chan is a famous actor, martial artist and director, known for his way of incorporating slapstick acrobatic fighting style into action movies.

Arts award Part C: Jackie Chan

I have chosen, for part C of my arts award him because of his involvement and success in the arts. As well as this he has various occupations including Directing and producing movies, setting an excellent example for kids showing that you should never give up on your dreams. Finally, no matter what he does, whatever movie he acts in, or directs he always manages to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Jackie Chan was born in Hong Kong on the 7th of April 1954, and his parents were Charles and Lee-Lee Chan.

His career in acting began when he was very young. Sadly, Chan had previously failed his first year in Nah-Hwa Primary School resulting in his parents withdrawing him. After this he began the China Drama Academy, as his father had just been accepted for the job of head cook at the American Embassy in Australia, but the classes there were long and difficult.
