Power Up - Science Museum

A day out in London, Science and Natural History Museum

I planned a day in London to visit the Science Museum Power Up exhibition.  I looked up and booked the tickets for Power Up on the Science Museum website.  It is free but you can pay a donation to enter the main museum but there is a charge to visit the special exhibitions they hold, tickets were £5.50 each for Power Up, which I thought was a good price.

The website gave information about Power Up and I was excited to see the gaming from the last 50 years.  My favourite was Siege and I would definitely visit again and recommend it to anyone else.  We went on a week day so it wasn’t too busy and we were able to try out the different consoles and gaming platforms. For more information or to book Power Up, visit the website www.sciencemuseum.org.uk

After a great lunch and my first time in Five Guys and a great burger and chips, we walked to the Natural History Museum, where I last went 10 years ago.  Some of it was how I remembered and anyone who likes dinosaurs would love it.  I even found Andy’s clock, which is from a Cbeebies TV show I used to watch when I was really small.  I had looked at the Natural History Museum website before we went so I knew which floors to visit as it is huge and we also booked tickets for 2pm online. www.nhm.ac.uk.

We finished the day by walking to Harrods and visiting the food court and toy department and walking along Park Lane and looking at all the Supercars outside the hotels.  It was a fun but very tiring day in London, but I would definitely recommend it and hope to go again soon.
