The powerfully evocative, award-winning Norfolk Voice Project Choir will now perform their newly created show, Time Piece. They are inviting anyone (over 16) who would like to sing, from the inexperienced to the virtuoso, in their new project for the 2018 Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
The choir will perform their latest show between noon and midnight at the closing performances of this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival. The innovative performances, with a running time of approximately 10 minutes, will take place on the hour every hour in the various cloisters and garth of Norwich Cathedral. All performances are free to attend except for a special ticketed event in the Cathedral between 9 and 10 PM that will feature the melodic-sounding full choir, soloists, and instrumentalists with atmospheric lighting.
The Voice Project Choir are greatly admired for composing ethereally beautiful music, and this occasion will be no different. It regenerates for each new project, greeting newly interested members in their events. If you have missed the no obligation taster session (Tuesday 13 March), you can book a place to attend the weekly rehearsals which start on 20 March.

The Voice Project Choir have a reputation for transforming their independent community choirs to international jazz festivals in mainland Europe that have showcased on prime time French TV with a London concert broadcast on BBC Radio 3. It is now one of the best known and groundbreaking choirs in the East of England, having given many hundreds of singers the opportunity to take part in uniquely creative performance projects of high quality new vocal music. This also includes running workshops designed to build one’s confidence, musical flair and ability to explore a wide variety of uplifting and inspiring music.
In May, they are also taking last year’s brilliant Norfolk & Norwich Festival show, The Arms of Sleep (which invites audiences to an overnight sleepover experience, for adults) to the Brighton International Festival.
