PREVIEW: Rachael Sage Gears up to Release New Album

Recorded in ‘room-style’, Sage has introduced a stunning range of instrumentation, interlocking traditional folk instrumentals with clear, softly delivered vocals. Do you have an undying love for 70s folk? ‘Another Side’ is nothing short of a new classic to delve into.

On stand-out tracks such as Deepest Dark, Sage’s instrumentation is stripped back to melodic, acoustic guitar lines and distant grand piano. Constructing a heartwarming nature for the album, the subtle production allows the listener to feel as if they are in the room with the artist, discovering a new interpretation of each song one by one. Unveiling the roots of each track is a beneficial display of Sage’s raw talent, which has seen her produce five critically acclaimed albums, win a number of Independent Music Awards and more.

The title ‘Another Side’ has a strong lyrical concept behind it, referring to the range of meaningful associations related to ‘Other Side.’ Intertwining dynamic imagery and confessions of personal experiences, Sage’s signature Americana is illustrated with a range of emotions, reverting between joyous, complimentative and deeply emotive. The album’s experimental nature and flourishes of orchestral instrumentation take the original version to new levels, displaying Sage’s musical integrity and development within the folk genre.

Don’t miss out on Rachael Sage’s sublime Americana offering, out via her label MPressRecords on May 17th.
