I certainly agree that some people find lyrics offensive. I certainly find some lyrics to explicit and unnecessarily offensive. I also feel that although there should be freedom of expression, there should be some degree of censorship. I feel that you have touched on some areas and made some interesting points but I feel you could have looked further into some areas. What about the advisory labels on some music? Do you think this is enough of a warning or is it now not valid due to how easy it is to access all music and the difficulties policing this. Do you think that there is a need to shock audiences in order to sell more music? Are audiences becoming more desensitised to sexual content and explicit lyrics?

I agree that there seems to be more men at the top of the profession and unfortunately this is the case in most professions. We are still working towards equality in this area and Choreography is no different. I think you made this point well and found some different sources to back it up. I was a little confused about the results of your survey. You said that the males were bias but didn't go on to explain in what way. I agree that those successful male choreographers deserve credit for their work but at the same time why are female Choreographers not given the same opportunities and platforms?

A great article on an interesting topic. I definitely agree that videogames are an art form. This is a well researched piece and I really enjoyed reading it. I think that videogames are often seen in a negative light due to their addictive qualities and therefor the positive aspects such as their creativity become overshadowed. I am not a big fan of gaming as I feel they are having a negative impact on young peoples ability to social interact and communicate effectively but I do believe in moderation they are very entertaining, creatively stimulating and often educational. Thank you for highlighting this issue.

An interesting article and viewpoint. I am sure many young male dancers face challenges in the dance profession and it is essential to develop ways of coping with rejection and the feelings associated with being selected based on a certain body type. Mental Health is becoming an increasing talked about topic which is helping to remove some of the stigmas attached. Hopefully this will help men to be able to talk about these type of issues more openly.

This really is a topic I know very little about. You have done some very interesting research into the subject. I think that art is often used to provoke debate and to influence peoples opinions on a topic and propaganda is no exception. I think that some people may be more influenced by the messages within and it is unfortunate that art is used in war to negatively influence and give false information. However, I believe that everyone should have the right to express their opinions through art, although I may not agree with that opinion. When art is used to attack a race or group of individuals, it should be dealt with in the same way as any other act of discrimination. An informative piece that I have learnt a lot from. well done.

A very important issue and you have done some great research. I found the paragraph about mental health very interesting and think you made some extremely valid points. I also like some of the quotes you included from your survey. Do you think that you would have got different results if you had shared your survey with a school that doesn't have such a thriving performing arts department?
