Royal West Of England Academy - 'New Wave'

On Thursday the 15th of February 2018 I visited the Royal West Of England Academy and I saw an exhibition called 'New Wave'. The exhibition consisted of professionals in many different fields such as Fashion Design, web design, architects, TV Broadcasters and authors. It showed all of these professionals create a piece of artwork that reflected their field of work. Wether that be a painting, a sculpture, a typed passage, all of it was Art! This was a unique exhibition, and it's style was one I had not witnessed before but was truly inspiring. I loved reading about why each individual chose to create their piece which provided a picture to support the artwork itself.

This exhibition exhibited the diversity of art and how it relates to all aspects of life. Art has sparked creativity in perhaps these rather generic individuals and has sparked passion and thought. Every piece of artwork was unique within the exhibition. Every artists harnessed the use of using a range of mediums and working outside the frame (in many cases quite literally!)

This exhibition is fantastic and a real eye opener. It celebrates diversity in a unique and expressive sense. I would recommend this exhibition to anyone who wants to experience something out of the normal and challenge there stereotypical views of artwork as this exhibition really showcases what a diverse medium art itself can be.
