Shape your future with these courses by the Wigan Council

The majority of Wigan Council courses are free, Courses are part-time and often timetabled between 9:30am - 3pm. This ensures they're flexible between school drop off and pick up times. Evening classes are also available.

You can gain entry-level qualifications that fits around your schedule, you can learn in a Community based venue rather than a class room, have the choice of face to face learning or remote from experienced and supportive tutors. 

There are courses in:

  • Digital, Creative Media and Performing Arts
  • Beauty, nails and complementary therapies
  • Construction
  • Warehouse and forklift truck driving
  • Leisure, travel and tourism 
  • English, Maths and ICT courses
  • Digital skills
  • English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL)
  • Personal development and wellbeing
  • Family learning and early years
  • Online learning course (this includes food and Safety and more)

Majority of the course start on the 13th of September or in January 2022
