We are pleased to announce that East 15's Summer Schools return to our Loughton campus this August. East 15 Acting School was one of the first conservatoires to offer Summer Schools aimed at those considering going to drama school, those wanting to know more about a particular area of acting, or those wanting to brush up on their skills.
Participants aged 17 or over can book for the East 15 summer courses online, and take advantage of our early bird offers which are available until 31 May 2017.
This course combines many of East 15's approaches to acting, with a focus on imagination, creativity and society. Improvisation techniques are used to unlock the world of a play, referencing back stories and memories. The devising element discusses how to choose topics that will unlock spontaneity and curiosity, and how to combine rigorous research with exercises and methodologies to create structured spontaneous performance which has something to say. Forum Theatre is an interactive form of theatre that invites audiences to join (or replace) the actors to create a group ethos that encourages debate. Through the use of improvisation, the actors devise scenes that will be open to interaction with an audience, as a forum to highlight social and political issues.
Fee £490 (£50 discount if paid by 31st May)
