Artist for Foundry 2024 Programme

Apply to be a Foundry 2024 Artist

Foundry, The Rep's highly acclaimed artist development programme, has supported theatre-makers and creative artists from differing disciplines to grow their careers since 2013.

The programme runs from April to December, and offers 8-months of high quality, in-depth artist training, mentoring and masterclasses for six emerging artist facilitators from the West Midlands. All artists are paid to take part.

On the programme, artists develop their understanding of co-creation, leadership and facilitation in community settings, attend regular workshops and masterclasses at The Rep, build their networks, have the opportunity to deliver a community-based creative project alongside an experienced professional facilitator, and benefit from learning and support in a welcoming space where they can grow their creative practice. They also offer a number of free tickets to see shows at The Rep while artists train with them.

To apply, you must:

  • Be aged 18+
  • Live, work or learn in the West Midlands
  • Have a serious interest in facilitating theatre and/or creative arts projects in community settings as a career

You'll be an emerging arts facilitator, with some experience of facilitating creatively with groups already. You will be eager to deepen your knowledge and experience in co-creation, collaboration and community-based facilitation in the West Midlands, and to learn from working alongside an experienced co-facilitator.

Payment

All artists training on Foundry 2024 be paid monthly at National Living Wage (£11.44 per hour) for hours attended on the core programme

When is the deadline for applications?
