They are looking for a Liverpool based Assistant Director for a split 2 week Research and Development period for a new play Bury Your Brothers by Edward Oulton.
This is a paid mentor scheme for a young person aged between 18 - 25 who is looking to break into the arts. They are keen to hear from Global Majority creatives and those from underrepresented groups in the industry.
The R&D periods will culminate in non-ticketed Rehearsed Readings at the Liverpool Playhouse Studio Theatre and The Bush Theatre in London, to an invited community, charity group and industry audience.
The play is centred around male Mental Health, our goal is to shed a light on these themes such as Male Suicide Rates and open up a dialogue with audiences across the UK through the readings and streamed performances. We will be engaging Community and Charity Groups through workshops alongside the rehearsed readings, especially those impacted by toxic masculinity.
