Social Media and Events Coordinator

The Fun Fed exists to create more joy, laughter, and connection in the world. They create a space where people can enjoy more fun and laughter by joining with others to co-create their own entertainment.

The Events and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering an engaging, stylish and exciting social media platform, deliver ticket sales across all our events and assist with the maturation of our playful events company, co-creating a future vision for an exciting program that delivers participants an experience that is both nourishing, exciting and transformative. The chosen individual will be required to assist at our weekly Tuesday night event in North London as well as being involved in the running of the organisation in general.

They're looking for a playful, creative and charismatic person with great interpersonal skills and the willingness to champion the organisation and be prepared to build a new approach to marketing within the organisation.

As part of The Fun Fed team you will be expected to carry out a range of responsibilities to assist with projects when needed, as well as receiving support and backup in your own work at busy times.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to successfully build numbers and attendance.
  • Event promotion and marketing experience.
  • Experience of creating & implementing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong experience of social media networking. Experience of developing marketing/audience development strategies.
  • Experience of building collaborative partnerships.
  • Organised and strategic planner, able to plan timelines and resources.
  • Exceptionally well-organized at managing own time and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Analysing and categorizing the market, effectively identifying how to appeal to target audiences.
  • Copywriting and written communication skills.
  • Competent in using relevant apps and programs.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and CS3 (Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Experienced across the marketing/communications mix - web and online, print publicity, advertising, press and PR, social media and brand development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Grow ticket sales and develop our audience.
  • Nurture The Fun Fed community.
  • Develop and maintain The Fun Fed's social media platforms.
  • Assist with the development of the creative program - including building collaborative relationships.
  • Establish and develop external partnerships for brand profile-raising.
  • Brand development and management: ensuring the visual identity of the brand stays up to date with current trends.
  • To creatively support the PR, marketing and promotion of the organisation.
  • Devising innovative and industry leading digital marketing initiatives and social media strategies.
  • Helping to draft and send out regular newsletters.
  • Research target groups and marketing contacts.
  • Online presence management and development: update the website; developing and overseeing the work on The Fun Fed's online profiles - Tie Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Meetup.
  • Growing audiences and followers across multiple social media platforms and maximising engagement with fanbases.
