Malvern Theatres' Advanced Course in Drama

Malvern Theatres’ Advanced Drama Course returns this August (16th-25th), providing practical skills to help aspiring actors succeed in the industry. The nine-day intensive course for young adults (aged 16+) is taught by experienced professionals and covers everything from improvisation and stage combat to audition techniques and movement in performance.

We're pleased to announce our Advanced Course in Drama taking place this summer. This course will provide a great opportunity for anyone aged 16 or over who wish to further their knowledge and skills of theatre practice: it is particularly suitable for those who are looking to apply to further education and Drama School.

This year, the course runs for nine days, from August 16th-25th and will be taught by experienced professionals, who will cover everything from improvisation and stage combat to audition techniques and movement in performance. Course tutors will include actor Timothy West, director Sophie Boyce Couzens, West End star Andy Reiss, and stage combat expert Keith Wallis amongst others, with content including acting technique, working with directors, voice craft, movement and musical theatre, as well as stage production. All participants will also have the experience of a professional photography headshot session and will take home their own professional digital image.

Theatre Director (After Dinner Joke at the Orange Tree Theatre and Zero Down at Theatre 503 and the Edinburgh Fringe). Most recently directed the Tilted Wig and Malvern Theatres co-production of Great Expectations, which is currently touring the UK.

Last year she played Benni in 'Zero Down' at Theatre 503 and The Stables Theatre and also Polly in 'EleXion', at Theatre 503. Katherine is also the co-founder of Angel on The Corner Theatre Company
