Project Female Dance Company are honoured that their production ‘Warrior Women: Past, Present and Future’ has been included in the Reigning Women season at The Old Market for 2023.
Warrior Women: Past, Present and Future acknowledges the historic events that have brought us to where we are today, and allows our young women to reflect on protests taking place around the world and how the reality of women being stripped of essential human rights impacts their vision of a future where the perpetual fight for female rights is an irrefutable necessity.
Our production is co-created and performed by outstanding youth dancers and fuses multi-media projections, unique choreographic content with an original soundtrack from Cate Ferris and Bobbie Johnson which amplifies the voices of our young women and girls.
Over the past 5 years Project Female has developed a youth-led socially engaged practice with the end goal of providing a platform for our young people to amplify their call for social change.
