Today’s Google Doodle (7 January 2019) celebrates the 118th birthday of the Turkish artist Fahrelnissa Zeid. The image on the Google homepage is very typical of her colourful style but isn't acually one of her images.
Not only a painter but also princess.
She was born into a wealthy family in 1901 and became one of the first women to study fine arts in Istanbul. She later married into the Jordanian royal family, and went on to study art in Paris and have exhibitions in London.
Her amazing abstract canvasses were the focus of a major exhibition I visited at Tate Modern 2017.

I did a bit of research yesterday when it was the Google Doodle, and I have to say, she has a very unique style! I imagine seeing the large paintings up close could disorienting.
What did you think of the exhibition? Did it show how she developed this style? Was she inspired by certain things?
