Films to look forward to in 2017
Take a look at just some of the massive films that we're going to get lost in in 2017.

Blade Runner 2049. It looks like the world is going look pretty stellar in 2049 - all thanks no doubt to thirteen-time Oscar nominee, cinematographer Roger Deakins.

Dunkirk. Christopher Nolan takes a step away from the cerebrally stormy fare he is known for to take on a World War II drama with Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and introducing One Direction's Harry Styles to the big screen.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. Following the franchise on from 2012's The Dog Days, this will be the first of the films with a brand new cast, and therefore something altogether new to prove.

Tulip Fever. Led by two of our nation's sweethearts, Alicia Vikander and Cara Delevingne, the period drama sees Vikander fall for Dane DeHaan, who is painting her husband's portrait. Saucy.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Following the success that no one could predict, Kingsman: The Secret Service, the witty, street smart agent is back to prove elitists wrong by saving the day again.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. POTC is back to redeem itself after two underwhelming films. Hopefully this will be good enough to remember the franchise by.

Coco. Disney's big 2017 release will be based around the Latin holiday of Día De Los Muertos. Disney has already hit some controversy by trying to trademark the title 'Día De Los Muertos' in a heavy case of cultural appropriation but that's all been settled with them recruiting their accuser onto a group of cultural consultants attached to the film.

The Fate of the Furious. The end of the Fast and the Furious franchise? Number eight has an air of sobriety around it making us think it signals the end of the high octane motor racing collection.

T2: Trainspotting. Perhaps the most anticipated British film on the list. The original production crew and cast are on board to make a sequel that they are all calling better than the original legendary Trainspotting.

Despicable Me 3. After a break to let Minions kick up a fuss, Gru is back to try and stop someone from taking over the world again.

Ghost In The Shell. The Scarlett Johansson led adaptation of a Japanese story is being heavily accused of whitewashing - casting Johansson in a Japanese character. This has heavily eclipsed anything the film might be worth.

Power Rangers. The coolest superhero group is back to basics with the troupe discovering their powers and trying to defeat Elizabeth Banks' Repulsa.

Baywatch. Priyanka Chopra in a bikini and Zac Efron and The Rock in swimming trunks saving lives and (hopefully) being hilarious.

Kong: Skull Island. King Kong is being resurrected after 2001's cracking version by Peter Jackson. Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson take on the beast - bigger than ever.

The Dark Tower. Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba led this adaptation of a Stephen King novel that sees a search for the Dark Tower, which could cure Elba's Roland Deschain's dying world.

Logan. Another Wolverine anthology film, which sees an altogether more dramatic and grittier take on Wolverine trying to save the world in a future when things have gone drastically downhill for our X-Men.

Star Wars: Episode VIII. J. J. Abrams directed Episode VII, which went on to become the highest grossing film of 2015 and the third highest grossing film ever, taking over $2 billion at the box office. Rian Johnson's episode will be all the more impactful after learning that the late Carrie Fisher will feature.

Beauty and the Beast. The live action remaking of the classic tale. Emma Watson will play Belle and Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens will be our Beast.

Wonder Woman. The first female lead Marvel film will be Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and be the most expensive film ever to be directed by a female director in Patty Jenkins.

Justice League. Featuring Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and introducing The Flash played by Ezra Miller and Aquaman played by Jason Momoa, DC needs to impress to make up for a 2016 containing Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad.

Alien: Covenant. Following on from Prometheus, Michael Fassbender and co misjudge a planet they think is a paradise, which really contains their most dangerous challenge yet.

Spider-Man: Homecoming. The refresh of the Spiderman franchise that no one needed or asked for. This time, Tom Holland plays Spidey in his discovering his powers. The film has been lauded for endeavouring to feature a more diverse cast in Zendaya, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, and Tony Revolori.

Emma Watson can sing wut wuuut
