GIANT KILLERS 'LOST' DEBUT ALBUM IS FINALLY RELEASED!

Giant Killers have finally released their debut album nearly three decades on from when they recorded it, which we feel could be some kind of record!

“The world has been worse off this last quarter century by not having these deftly crafted indie gems in mass circulation.”James McMahon, Chart topping music podcast host, former features editor of NME and editor of Kerrang speaking about Giant Killers, Songs for the Small Places.

The indie-pop band are song writing duo Jamie Wortley (guitar, keys, lead vocals) and Michael Brown (bass, keys, brass, vocals). They were signed to MCA Records in 1995 where they released two singles, however the album never saw the light of day. Now the band have their rights back and the album can finally have its chance to shine!

The 90s sound remains a massive influence on the present-day music scene and their melodic songs with gritty lyrics and guitar sounds layered with old school synth riffs will resonate with music fans of all generations.

QUOTE FROM BAND

What we’re hopeful for, after a long journey to bring them into the light, is that these songs will finally reach the ears of the discerning listener and be given a fair chance to be loved, or otherwise, on their artistic and creative merit. We believe that Songs for the Small Places is a work about universal and timeless themes. Our 3 decades long wish is to see if the rest of the world agrees with us.

The band opened for Blur on their Country House tour and toured with Dr Robert (Blow Monkeys) and Nick Heyward. They appeared on C4's The Big Breakfast and performed live on the Patrick Kielty Show. Separately and together, Giant Killers have remained jobbing and gigging musicians and in other musical projects, playing at Glastonbury twice and Proms in the Park in Hyde Park opening for Lionel Richie; they’ve toured with Squeeze and supported Motown legend Edwin Starr.
