Indie-pop Singer Kelaska Returns With Important Anthem

The singer-songwriter returns with a personal song titled 'autopilot'.

The indie-pop singer from Connecticut is a true inspiration for everyone. Kelaska started uploading acoustic covers on Youtube 8 years ago and never gave up on her passion for music. Finally reaching over 30,000 subscribers, that's when she decided it was time to start creating her own music. Writing song after song and getting more recognition with every release.

It is hard to describe Kelaska's music in only one genre as she likes to blend various sounds. The singer found her own unique sound in the world of indie pop with dreamy waves of eerie synths with vintage rock guitars and 90s vibes. This comes from the artists she looks up to like Maggie Rogers, Phoebe Bridgers and Fleetwood Mac to name a few.

Her new song "autopilot" was written during a period of depression the artist struggled to overcome. In this emotional and personal track, she tried to put into words the way she was feeling - especially that overwhelming comparison of how she felt as opposed to how she should have been feeling, according to what society would think.

Kelaska isn't afraid to talk about important topics in her music. For example, with 'Tightrope' (released earlier this year), she was already pointing to societal norms. As usual, based on personal experience, the song expresses the struggles of trying to navigate life under the constant demands of other people.
