Cameron Withers | Trinity Talent 2018

Cameron has been nominated by music teacher Alain Maurel for his excellent overall musicianship and achieving a Distinction in his Grade 8 Rock and Pop exam at Planet Drum. Alain says that Cameron has impeccable timing, sound control and a great ear.

Cameron says the Trinity qualification introduced him to genres and techniques he wouldn’t ordinarily have tried. “Even though the exam took a lot of preparation,” he adds, “it was rewarding because it enabled me to demonstrate the work I had put in. It also gave me ideas that I will try out when I’m playing with my band mates.”

Cameron’s advice to other Trinity students?
“Have a positive attitude. Don’t dwell on mistakes and don’t let them affect your performance. If you make a mistake, learn from it and work hard to improve.”
