If you’re interested in a creative career, a qualification in the arts is a good place to start your journey. Voice has worked with the international exam board, Trinity College London for many years. Trinity provides qualifications in music, drama and also Arts Award in the UK.

Whatever your musical taste or dramatic preferences, Trinity offers engaging and challenging qualification options.Trinity graded exams and diplomas in music and drama are available in both digital and face-to-face options. Find out more about the syllabuses available below.

Classical & Jazz

Most young people who take a Classical & Jazz music graded exam or diploma work with a local or online private music teacher or a music teacher at school to prepare for and book their exam. But if you're self-taught, you can enter an exam yourself - just visit our website

Trinity exams offer you a choice of repertoire and supporting tests. You’ll need to familiarise yourself with the syllabus for your chosen instrument and the exam requirements including those for Digital Grades & Diplomas

Rock & Pop

Trinity’s Rock & Pop qualifications will equip you with the real skills needed for a career in the modern music industry. You’ll get to play songs you know and love from artists like The Beatles, The Foo Fighters, Beyoncé and Iron Maiden.   

Available as both a face-to-face and digital exam, the syllabus covers guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keyboards. You can work with a local/online private music teacher or your music teacher at school or college to prepare for the exams and get booked in, or use the online form to book yourself - it couldn’t be easier. Just make sure you look closely at the syllabus and exam requirements.

The Trinity Rock & Pop site also features the Practice Room which provides videos, articles and resources to support you with the Session Skills tests, learn more about the artists featured and top teaching tips.

Ready to take your performance to the next level?

Whatever type of performer you are, Trinity has a drama qualification to suit you: Whether you’re keen to try out Acting grades or you’re a ‘triple threat’ looking to get recognised in Musical Theatre, or you’re ready to progress onto a Diploma in Speech & Drama.

Acting for Screen

Trinity’s Acting for Screen exams are designed to help candidates develop their skills for screen performance. Industry-aligned tasks enable learners to develop their vocal, physical and character skills, alongside the technical skills of performing for camera.

You will:

  • Be assessed on key industry skills

  • Develop core screen acting skills through performance tasks

  • Select personalised material for authentic screen performances

  • Foster confidence and reflective learning

Arts Award

Want to learn new arts skills and develop as an arts leader?

Arts Award is a qualification for everybody!  You can do an Arts Award in any art form, and you’ll develop your creativity, knowledge of the cultural sector and your communication and leadership skills.
