If you’re interested in a career in music or drama, a qualification is a good place to start. Voice has worked with Trinity College London to support young people doing Arts Award for many years and now we're helping young people find out more about their music and drama qualifications which develop your skills and confidence and enhance your CV.
Trinity graded examinations and diplomas span performing, teaching, theory of music and composing, all of which are fully accredited by UK regulatory bodies. Whatever your musical tastes or style of performance, Trinity offers a fun and engaging qualification for you. Check out below for details of how to get started, or head back to the Get Qualified section for fresh content, interviews and advice once you’re up and running in your qualification.
To get started with a classical and jazz qualification, you'll probably want to work with a personal tutor (although you can go it alone and book your own exam!) Take a look through Trinity Music Resources for ideas about what the assessments require and check out Trinity Music for info on instruments and syllabuses. Then talk to your local music teacher, music service or independent music provider to find out how to get going. Need advice? Contact [email protected]
If you’re curious about taking a rock and pop qualification, take a look and listen in to the Rock & Pop Practice Room for loads of tips and support from professionals. Ready to go? You can either book your exam for yourself by signing up here or get in touch with your local music teacher or music service for help to prepare you to grab those grades.
Trinity offers lots of different drama qualifications from group performance to acting to musical theatre. You'll usually be working with a personal tutor so contact your local performing arts school or drama teacher at school to get started. Find out more at Trinity Drama or contact [email protected]
Arts Award is a qualification for everybody! You can do an Arts Award in any art form, and you’ll develop your creativity, knowledge of the cultural sector and your communication and leadership skills. You’ll need to work with an Arts Award adviser based at an Arts Award centre but you can check out what's involved and get lots of online support right here: go to Arts Award Voice
