Elizabeth was nominated by her teacher for her progress made in her Drama qualification. They said 'Lizzie undertook her grade 6 Speech and Drama. As always, she was committed to researching her characters, exploring the stories in rehearsal and creating a contrasting programme with the right mood for each piece.'
In what ways would you say your Drama qualification has influenced your artistic achievement, creativity, leadership or progress?
I am honoured to be nominated for TrinityTalent. I believe that drama is an art that can truly uplift anyone, and I will try my best to have an audience feel something while I preform. I enjoy writing so developing characters and building on my performance is amazing. This achievement has boosted my confidence and made me want to share my love of drama with others.
How has participating in a Drama qualification impacted your artistic skills or career development?
I have always loved drama and my participation in Trinity College London exams has improved my confidence and social skills immensely. I always want to do my best in my exams and I feel that some of my best work has come from my exams. They helped me to realise how fantastic it is to feel a character's emotions and therefore made me understand others around me better.
What's next for you?
I would love to continue working on my exams and improve my variety of styles when acting. I would also love to improve on my previous grades and share my work with others.
What are your career aims?
To have a career in drama would be a dream come true, although it would be very hard work. I would love to help teach at my current drama group as they are my family and if a professional job in acting is not the way forward I would be very happy to help others learn and love drama the way I do now.
Have you got any advice for other young people working towards a Drama qualification?
I think that nothing is impossible and the sky's the limit but you have to be willing to put in the effort. By that I don't mean overworking yourself. During preparation for an exam of mine I over rehearsed because I wanted to achieve so badly and it got to the point where everything I did sounded tired. Do not make that mistake - but also try to enjoy every second!
