Joe Brunton | Trinity Talent 2018

Joe has been nominated by parent Maggie Brunton for his Grade 8 and Level 3 musicianship on piano. Maggie says that Joe is constantly writing and arranging original pieces of music and lyrics, and also enjoys remixing: “He had been working with friends from school, recording and producing pieces, and has continued [to do so] now that he has started at university. Joe’s music is available to listen to here on Soundcloud.

Joe says that working towards his Trinity exams has definitely helped him focus when it comes to music: “It has allowed me to concentrate more on creating, which is what I always wanted to do. My teacher Alex Lewis was very inspiring, always encouraging me to achieve the next goal.”

Joe’s advice to other Trinity students?
“If it feels like you're struggling in the beginning and it's tough, don't worry, there will come a time when everything will click, and you'll feel completely in control of your instrument. Just keep persevering.”
