Trinity College London is making free resources available for young people looking to get started with a musical instrument.
Available to download via the Trinity eShop, these resources are great for young people who are looking to take their first step on their musical journey, or a good refresher for those who want to pick an instrument back up.
Trinity will be releasing new resource packs periodically, which will be promoted on the eStore homepage. Previous resources will be moved to their relevant instrument areas.
Most recently, Trinity have released a drum kit resource that features six songs from across the range of their music e-book provisions. You’ll also get access to the accompanying audio files to play along with.
Before that, the latest free pack was Trinity Violin, which includes samples from Take Your Bow Violin, Graded Exam Pieces, 12 Pieces for Violin & Piano and Sight Reading Violin. You can download the violin pack here.
Previous resources include guitar and piano. The guitar packs walk you through the early steps of learning notation and fretboard knowledge, and is an ideal introduction to the very basics of guitar.
