Jasmine has been nominated by music teacher Sian Holt for making exceptional progress, passing her Grade 4 cello exam with distinction after less than a year of tuition. “Since achieving her Grade 4 with such an exceptionally high mark in the summer,” says Sian, “she has continued to work diligently and is due to take Grade 6.”
Jasmine says that achieving her Trinity qualification has proven that she can do anything she puts her mind to: “It has proven to myself that I can achieve greater things than I could have ever imagined. Playing my cello alongside other instruments has been a relief from my busy schedule; and having this qualification has pushed me even further into developing a music career in the future.”
Jasmine’s advice to other Trinity students?
“Don’t dream it, be it. No matter what instrument or style of music you wish to be examined in, pursue it fearlessly and with passion. The journey isn’t easy, but the result will always be worth it in the end, so just go for it.”
