This blog has really broadened my perspective on the whole issue, I was previously aware that this was a problem but I now have a much more detailed idea about the topic. I was particularly shocked at the statistic that 20% of children under the age of 12 in the UK, will grow to become obese as this is very dangerous.
In my opinion, I think that more awareness should be raised about the impact of food advertising because I find that not many people clearly see the problem, if children spend too much time on social media. Schools should also take part and teach pupils more about other activities they could take up in their spare time, to keep them active and healthy other than going online.

Its amazing to see the work that Dove has done to stop this issue. I think that other companies who use models in their advertisements, should consider using those with realistic boy images and leaving their images untouched.
