The event that I attended was the 12 Tall Tales event that took place at the Hospital Club and was organised by The Hospital Club Gallery and the Crafts Council, while we attended on the 12th August 2016 to see the other work from the courses, participants and tutors of The Creative Dimension Trust.
The 12 Tall Tales event was made to do story telling through objects and making and sees twelve artists, makers and designers tell tales through objects that are motivated by their ability to contain, convey and inspire stories.
The event was a family friendly event, meant to contain interactive learning activities which were suitable for all ages. The event was also an 'in-gallery learning guide' and helped people learn about the stories which inspired the creation behind the objects.
I found the event interesting as it helped me understand the different art forms that were shown at the venue by showing videos of their creation and letting you interact with their displays. Most of the artforms shown at the event were new to me as they were not too functional and mainstream and were more to do with culture or ideas which told a story.
Overall I thought the exhibition was a learning event and could be recommended to people finding something new to do or learn from.
I'm so glad you got the chance (sorry) to see this :)
