What was the title of the exhibition/show?

Alice Jackman’s African Watercolour Exhibition. 

Why did you choose to attend this exhibition/show? 

Firstly to support Alice in her Second Exhibition and also to see the new pieces of her work. There was no advertising for the event. She just invited people on social media. Also it was in a busy hallway so many people stopped to look without planning to attend.

What did you see?

An exhibition of the work that she had created following her latest trip to South Africa. The theme was the South African Landscape.

Who were the artists and what do they create?

There were several artists exhibiting at the hospital, but we mainly went to see the work of Alice Jackman. 

What were your first impressions?

The exhibition was well thought out. It was In the main corridor next to the popular cafe in the Bath Hospital, where many people stopped to look. The theme was South African coasts and She had about 16 pieces of art up.

What did you learn? Did it make you think about any art form differently?

By going to the workshop and learning how she creates the sea effect, looking at her art I can see how she’s done it. Before, I just admired it, but after, I really appreciate and look at her and other artist’s art differently.

Did you enjoy the experience overall? Why?

I did enjoy the experience of seeing an exhibition for two reasons. Firstly, this is the second exhibition of hers that we have seen, also it gave me new perspective on where you can have exhibitions, also it was in a good place for many people to see them. Also after doing the workshop with her, I had a new understanding of how she created the texture and colours.
