Descendants 3 is about the characters Mal (Maleficent's daughter), Evie (the Evil Queen's daughter), Carlos (Cruella De Vil’s son) and Jay (Jafar’s son) freeing the citizens of the Isle of the Lost with the son of Belle, King Ben. I find the main idea really exciting because it is about the freedom of the villain’s children and the opposite to the traditional fairy tales that Disney has produced for many years. The idea matters because everyone deserves a chance; their future shouldn’t be based on their mother/father’s reputation.

Main points:

• It starts with Mal and Ben picking 4 kids from the Island of the Lost to come outside of the barrier to have a chance in life, but Mal's dad Hades nearly escapes so they think they have no choice but to seal it forever. 

• Ben proposes to Mal so she would be Queen, but Audrey gets jealous and breaks into the museum and steals the Queen's crown and Maleficent’s scepter. 

• She puts everyone to sleep, so Mal and her team have to work with Uma and her team to get back Auradon from Audrey.

• When Audrey is defeated she falls into a deep sleep from Mal’s powers, so Mal’s dad Hades uses his power to make everyone return to normal and Audrey to wake up from her sleep. Audrey apologises for being jealous and Mal forgives her.

• Mal and Ben decide that it would be better to give everyone on the Isle of the Lost a chance for freedom and a new start at Auradon so they lift the barrier forever.

Music: 

I think all the music is very creative and fits in with the theme really well. My favourite song from this movie is ‘I want what I deserve’ by Audrey and I think the lyrics fit so well with the scene.
