Rachael Sage steps it up a gear with the release of the 'Character' lyric video

Whilst it may be completely impossible to expect an artist to fully convey their fear and vulnerability through their music, especially when a life-changing diagnosis requires them to step up in a way that no one should ever have to, Rachael Sage is going to try.

‘Character’ is a song which provides a complete inside look into the psyche of someone who must muster up as much strength and positivity as can be found, and is one of Sage’s most genius songs. It sees her forgoing her usual bright and happy attitude and instead conveys a sense of frank determination and a more brooding atmosphere. The lyric video to accompany this track (the second to be released from her upcoming album of the same name) ensures that we miss not a single word of this confessional song, which only serves to make it hit all the more hard. A truly emotional song about determination and self doubt, and how it’s possible to have both at the same time, ‘Character’ shows Rachael in a totally new light.

If this is what the rest of the album is going to sound like, it’s sure to be a very interesting release.
