Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Review

A review on the new maleficent film and the hairstyles revolving throughout the movie.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Review

On 10th November 2019 I watched Maleficent: Mistress of Evil at Odeon cinema Swadlincote. Throughout the film there were many updos, braids, and a lot of hats. The two characters that stood out the most were Aurora and Queen Ingrith as their hairstyles matched their backgrounds perfectly. By this I mean it was very fitting to the character. For example Aurora mainly had her hair in a half up half down type of style which usually consisted of twists and all sorts of braids. Her hair had a soft curl which showed the naturalness of her and she sometimes had flowers in symbolising and reflecting her home in the forest. In contrast the Queen’s hair was very royal and grand almost like she was getting married. This obviously must have been normal to her as she seemed to have it like that regularly. As for the other characters they either had hairstyles that weren’t out of the ordinary or were wearing hats/hairpieces like the fairies and Maliki isn’t when covering her hair.
