Anima Acro performance review

This is my review of the performance Anima. Anima was an acro performance with a musical twist.

Anima Acro performance review

Anima was a two person acro performance with three performers a base a flyer and a musician there was no dialogue and the only props on stage where instruments and white balloons and I saw it at the civic in Barnsley.

I thought Anima was a very interesting performance. You can tell they put a lot of work into the transitions which made the whole show seem very flowy, especially with the live music that seemed a little reactionary to what the acro performers were doing. I really loved how they used the music and how the musician moved to really set the mood of that part of the show.

However the acro seemed like the same sort of thing that I’ve seen in many, many shows there where some impressive moves and transitions but it just ended up seeming like a very standard acro performance although the musician did add an interesting twist, however that was one of the only things that set it apart from any other acro show.
