The pop-fusion duo from down under are celebrating breaking the top five with their sun-soaked video for self-love anthem, ‘I Found Me’!
President Street are a band who refuse to stick to a genre label. Named as “pop fusion” by music journalists, it’s undeniable that their latest track is in fact a melting pot of influences from soul to drum ‘n’ bass, all of which work together to create a truly infectious song. Don’t just take our word for it though - the track has just broken into the top five of Music Week’s UK Club Charts!
The video to accompany this catchy track is equally as captivating. Allowing us a look into the intimate process of songwriting, we follow Ruby and Pete of President Street as they begin to form their working relationship, sitting in cafes and writing music together. The video culminates in the two recording and performing the song before jetting off into the sunset together, presumably to bring their music to wider audiences.
And this is exactly how they have been spending 2019 so far - travelling the world and bringing their songs to intimate and acoustic settings. The latest run of gigs was all over the UK, where the band were incredibly well-received, and have surely gained many fans who were all waiting on Friday to click on the link to their video!
