So you’ve met the newest kid on the singer-songwriter block. (If not, read all about her here: https://www.voicemag.uk/blog/6250/new-artist-profile-katie-kittermaster) But have you heard her yet? Katie Kittermaster’s debut EP, Coming Home at Dawn is O-U-T. And it’s amazing.
Coming Home at Dawn is the 5-track debut from newcomer Katie Kittermaster, whose lead single ‘Sunday Afternoon’ has already rocked the singer-songwriter world with its beautiful melodies and insightful lyrical content. It’s a gorgeous song about spending lazy afternoons hanging out at home with the one you love, and shows that, when it comes to romance, Katie Kittermaster has her head screwed firmly onto her shoulders.
Wisdom beyond her years is certainly a theme which pervades the EP throughout its 5-tracks, with Kittermaster’s lyrical know-how taking its rightful place at centre stage again and again. ‘T-Shirt’ reminds us that Kittermaster is not actually a stranger to recognition, with her UK Songwriting Contest win under her belt and a few years of experience already behind her.
It’s with ‘Kaleidoscope’ as well that we see once again Kittermaster’s ability to observe her own emotions and objectively translate them into catchy pop songs, which is something that must really be commended for someone of the age of just 19.
Currently on tour with Lucy Spraggan to promote this EP launch, it’s no doubt that Katie Kittermaster will be winning fans all over Europe with her stunning voice, lyrics and performance style. It’s time for some fresh blood on the singer-songwriter scene. And Katie Kittermaster is it.
Listen to lead single 'Sunday Afternoon' down below and look out for Coming Home at Dawn, released everywhere 1st November!
