MCM Comicon Review

The transcript of an interview reviewing MCM Comicon .

Harry: Comicon is a convention which brings together film lovers, Anime lovers and video game lovers alike. Many people go to Comicon and many people go in costumes. They are called CosPlayers. Some people put a lot of time and effort in to them. Also many companies go there to sell their products, Manga or Comics. many artists go there to show off their works which are often remarkable projects that they have put a lot of time into. There were a lot of different sections which included different things; some parts were only shops, and other bits with only CosPlayers and activities etc. Another big part of ComiCon is mystery boxes which are on sale everywhere. There is probably a loot box for every videogame you can think of.

Adam:  Why did you go to Comicon?

Harry: Because it is part of my Arts Award course. Also, I had never been before and had always wanted to go.

Adam: What did you do while you there?

Harry: First of all, I went to a shop called Tokyo Toys to meet up with my friends. I then went to a section full of comics and manga. I also saw an artist who made detailed foam replicas of videogame weapons. I then went to the Star Wars section. I then looped back around to the retro videogame section. And I also interviewed some artists.

Adam: What did you like and dislike about it?

Harry: I loved practically every moment of it apart from when you had to sit down because there was nowhere to sit down! Also, all of the security guards were in amazing stormtrooper costumes.

Adam: What was the best CosPlayer that you saw?

Harry: Definitely the Deadpool Cosplayer, that I saw and got a very funny video with. Also he didn’t just have a very good costume he was amazing at capturing the imagination of the character from the comics and the movies.

Adam: on a scale of 1 to 10, how much would you want to go again? would you suggest the event to a friend?

Harry: 10 out of 10 I would love to go again because there is so much more to see and I think many more people will be in CosPlay and I would like to go to some panels. and certainly, I suggest that everyone and anyone who has an interest in comics, movies, video games or anything else in pop culture should go. there is something for everyone at this all-inclusive event

Adam: Thank you for your time.
