Mamma Mia! silver arts award review

Last year, I attended the production of Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre.

Mamma Mia! silver arts award review

Prior to watching this play, I had never been a fan of musicals, so I was a bit unsure as to whether or not this would impress me. However I must say I really enjoyed this play for many reasons. The singing and dancing was incredible, it was probably my favourite part as it was so enjoyable to watch and to sing along to. The musical was surpisingly really funny, which made the experience much more entertaining and I really liked how the story was easy to understand, as well as the plot not being predictable. I had a really good seat as I was close to the front which enabled me to have a great view of the stage and the set, but if I had to improve one thing, I would improve the set as although it was nice it seemed a little low-budget and not very unique as I had seen similar sets before. Despite that, I would still recommend this play to any musical fan as it really is so entertaining, and singing along to the songs was a very enjoyable experience.

Mamma Mia is such a great musical! What did you think of the actors? Was there anyone that stood out — singing, dancing, acting? Would you consider seeing more musicals now that you have found one that you enjoyed?
