Rise Theatre Summer School 2018

My review on a Christian art summer school I went to a few weeks ago. :)

Rise Theatre Summer School 2018

Rise Theatre Summer School 2018 was an amazing experience this August for 13-18 year olds to pray, create art, music and finally, a drama piece together. We stayed in the quiet Kintbury countryside, where we could disconnect from our technology and improve our connections with God. Over the course of four days, we enjoyed painting trees outside, writing songs about God's power and love, creating our own characters and devising a play about God's presence even throughout everyday struggles. We also had daily prayer and Bible study, where we could recognise our worries as young people and think about what God is trying to tell us in the Bible. We were facilitated by four members of Rise Theatre, including 'Colour Riot' artist, Rachel Paynter. Overall, a brilliant four days, where we had great fun, developed music and art skills and made new friends. A unique and valuable opportunity!

Sounds like a wonderful, and very rewarding experience! Do you think you could share with use some of the art or music you made?
