The Wizard of Oz

To complete my Bronze Arts Award Part B, I went to see a performance of The Wizard of Oz at my local Theatre. I went to see the play on the 21st of December and it was a great day out.

The Wizard of Oz

I thought that the play was great, it was so exciting and entertaining. It also didn't go on for too long to make it become boring. I really enjoyed the acting and thought that the actors played the iconic characters very well and realistically to the original. The play also contained lot's of singing and i thought that the singing was great. It also contained many dance routines that were very impressive and they all danced in time.

The costumes that the characters wore were really cool and all so detailed. They all looked really similar to the costumes the actual characters wore, i was very impressed.

They also used a real dog to play the character of Toto, which is Dorothy's pet dog. The dog was so well behaved and played the role well, it was also very cute!

The main characters were played by Scarlett Leigh Fawcett (Dorothy), Spencer Lee (the lion), Gardiner Fraser Hill (the tin man) and Laurie Denman (the scarecrow). The extra characters such as the guards to the witches castle or the munchkins (they also played many more roles)  were played by children age 10-16, for this age i thought that they all knew what they were doing and their singing, acting and the dancing was excellent.

I saw that there was a dog mentioned in this article. Therefore I shall comment.

Joking aside, I'm really glad you got to see The Wizard of Oz! Such a classic show.
