I watched "School of Rock- The Musical"

On Monday 26th of February my family and I went to go and see " School of Rock - The Musical" at New London Theatre.

I watched "School of Rock- The Musical"

We arrived at the theatre and I was immediately greeted by the bright lights and colours of the musical. When we walked into the auditorium I was impressed that all the seats were cleverly staggered so that wherever you sat, you always had a fantastic view of the stage. On the stage, I noticed that there was a huge round turntable that rotated at parts in the show to carefully manoeuvre the set around. The set itself was also brilliant- its designs were intricate and realistic. On top of that, the transitioning from scene to scene was incredibly smooth.

The show started with a loud Rock song - it made me feel like I was watching a rock band live. 10 minutes in, and I was fully engaged in the fantastic show. My favourite character was probably the lead role, Dewey Finn, a middle aged man whose only passion is rock. I liked this character because he was funny and loud. The children in the show were also extremely talented. At the start of the show, it was clearly stated that the children all played the instruments, there was no digital music playing. I liked a lot of things about this show, for example, the amazing, upbeat music and the set. All in all, it was a FANTASTIC experience, and I would recommend that you go and see it if you get the chance.

For my Arts Award Bronze, I had to share my review of something as well as creating a few pages in my portfolio. Here, I review "School of Rock - The Musical" - I would love to know what you think of my review in the comments!
