Victoria and Albert Museum: Renaissance

This was a very intriguing and interesting exhibition. when viewing the exhibition the first piece i saw was the Hunting crossbow, from Germany dating back to 1590. The piece was well kept and to think that our ancestors used such weapons, that are so beautifully crafted is quiet a shock. The handle of the crossbow still had its fine engravings and patterns- which were so distinct and so aesthetic.

The exhibitions also had many sketches. It was quite fascinating and inspiring  to see the fine details within the pieces of artwork, considering the tools that were available to them.

The artist behind the collection include Donatello, Andrea Briosco (‘il Riccio’) and Giambologna, as well as notebooks owned by Leonardo da Vinci.

In Summary, all the art pieces were very cool and gripping. Each piece had a different story to tell from that period of time so it was quite education. It is definitely an event to go to
