A review of my experience at School of Rock.

Review of School of Rock musical.

I was lucky enough to experience School of Rock, at the New London theatre. The musical was absolutely amazing- I had expected it to be much more- kiddish? than it was, I had thought that all the singing would be high pitched and the instrument playing would not be that good- boy was I wrong! The singing was varied and interesting, the kids played their instruments live, but you could see the house band playing as well- which I thought was cool. The acting was sublime, and really lived up to the film (which I love). I loved the portrayal of Dewie Finn, and he had as much energy as Jack Black, and this surprised me as I was worried that he would not have enough energy to make it through in one, rather than in cuts ( like in a movie) but he was energetic beyond belief!

O wow. That sounds great. I've never really considered seeing the musical in theatre. Mostly because I've been obsessing over the American musical, Hamilton, which I haven't yet seen...

It's great that the musical adaptation lives up to the standard of the film.

This is great, Ellie. A fabulous place to put it. Perhaps a screen shot would be best for your portfolio.
