In the video, the men are fully dressed and are not sexualised, while the women are and the video is a comment on how normal it is for women to be portrayed in this way.
Stylistically there's lots of colours in the video, all the guys wear black and the girls wear bright colours. The video begins in black and white to differ from normal pop videos. Then the colour comes in and the song begins.
The video starts of with quite a funny tone but also shows the bands frustration with the industry. The lead singer's face conveys the songs emotion and he is often looking fed up or serious.
When the girls come in they are conveyed as quite flirty and sexual and there to cheer up the men.
In conclusion I think this is a witty video which makes fun of gender representation in the music industry.
I'm glad the director of the video pointed out the media representation in such a quirky and funny way. It just proves that not every female needs to be sexualised in a music video, and it's good to watch a music video that's just fun and doesn't take itself seriously :)
