London illustration fair is an annual art-led fair which is held annually for a few days at the beginning of December. Since there were revenue changes, the illustration fair was held at the Barge House in Southbank from 2nd-4th December 2016. They had very vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with a range original pieces from many emerging artists along with some interesting typography and letter printing workshops. There were various artistic styles from prints, paintings and drawings to graphic design. The fair was offered the public a chance to admire the contemporary illustrations and artwork and engage with the artists as well as their work. Each art work was very fascinating because they conveyed the artist's way of thinking, creative approach on producing a piece, their influences and their preferred genre and medium. the fair is different to a going to a museum and a gallery because there is a sense of community when observing the work with others from the public. There was always so much to see and so many places to go. one could also buy merchandise from the artists work as a souvenir. I would recommend anyone to go since it's open to everyone.

Lovely review, Antonia! Visual art is always underappreciated.
