Oh My Dad: Christ on a Bike

A completely crazy show full of singing, dancing and jokes. What's not to like?

Oh My Dad: Christ on a Bike

Oh My Dad stars an (incredibly camp) Jesus, sporting fabulous sparkly jelly shoes, with his friends Matthew and Mary Magdalene (also in the sparkly jelly shoes). The show opened with crazy dance numbers and a lovely song. If that doesn't give you a good idea of the nature of this show, I don't know what will.

Through singing, dancing, jokes and terrible puns, these three reenacted the life of Jesus with their idea of what really happened; and it was hilarious. Wearing newly branded t-shirts with Jesus puns on them, and telling his story in the hope of upping his twelve twitter followers, this show was crazy from start to finish. Their dancing and singing was actually very skilful and incredibly enjoyable to watch, and all the costumes were unique.

My favourite thing was their campaign to give Mary a voice (find it on twitter) where people could tweet their suggestions of things Mary should say in the show, and at random times she would just blurt one out. It added another dimension of crazy to the show, but helped to keep the audience almost constantly laughing. This is the perfect parody of the story of Jesus and is told in a better way than I could ever have imagined. The end of the show was met with insane applause and the cast clearly loved doing the show as much as we loved watching it.

If you want a good laugh and to hear the crazy version of Jesus' life story, don't miss this show, it's perfect for you!
