Kumar presents us with a show that is both very personal and attempts to teach us a lesson about finger pointing. Intelligent in how well informed he is about the facts and issues in the show surrounding Britain's history and his own culture. Open in how transparent he was about the process of being a stand-up and getting his show ready.
A daring show, too: so when the EU referendum is inevitably addressed, he goes into scathing criticisms of each side. This comes in addition to scathing, though undeniably sound criticisms of entire groups of people including his own. But when you sit through the tense atmosphere, waiting for someone to heckle his opinion, you allow him to take you to the moral conclusion on which the show is based.
No matter how much of a tangent one segment is from the last, they culminate in a typically Nish way of teaching you to reassess some of your thinking.
Another comic at the top of his game who also gives you a little gem of thoughtfulness. What is most endearing is his ferocious passion for everything that comes out of his mouth be it an honest anecdote, a description, or a summary of events. No matter how much you disagree with him and however many jokes stumble, he will win you over with one of the best comical voices working today in all its high falsettos and deepest of lows.
A walking, talking internet meme – well worth seeing.
