On Friday we went to see Bugsy Malone at The Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. It was a special matinee performance for schools and we were given a tour of the studio and rehearsal spaces. It was cool. Overall the performance was good. I enjoyed most of it but thought they could have updated the music and made it more modern for a modern day setting and audience. It would work well in todays setting using rap and hip hop music. I thought the set and stage was great, especially the car bit at the end of the 1st half. It was really well choreographed. The dancing was good. My favourite character was Knuckles, he really made me laugh. I think it is suitable for all ages and most people would enjoy it.
