Are you aged 14 to 19 years old, creative and interested in learning more about working in the arts?

Youthlab; Arts Club at Centre for Chinese Contemporary Arts, Manchester

Our Youthlab returns this year, bigger and better! With thanks to Big Lottery Fund, from National Lottery Awards For All.

We'll be running these free sessions every Tuesday, 5pm to 7pm.

No experience is required and it is suitable for anyone who would like to learn more about art, be an artist or work in the arts.

In these sessions that will run from Tuesday 27 February 2018 up to the end of August, you will be working towards your Arts Award Bronze - a nationally recognised qualification.

For Art Enthusiasts!

For those with an inspiration in art and who have a creative imagination with the passion to develop your knowledge in the Art Sector, CFCCA are holding Youth Lab for those aged 14—19 years of age to help develop learning and understanding for working within the arts as a career. 

Gallery staff and local & international artists will be involved in the classes to provide assistance when creating work, organising events and a pop up exhibition

Our first session begins on Tuesday 27th February 2018 and the sessions will be running every Tuesday each week up until Tuesday 28th August 2018. Sessions are 5-7pm, are completely free and everyone is welcome. For those travelling via public transport, we are able to provide a travel bursary of £4 per person. To receive this bursary, please show your travel ticket to a member of staff upon arrival. 

No experience is required for the sessions and there is no commitment rule; anyone can join the classes when they feel free to. Do not worry if you have missed a few sessions, you can join anytime. 

Through Youth Lab you to work towards an Arts Awards Bronze; a nationally recognised qualification. 

Youth lab was created for anyone who has the interest and passion in Art, who would like to work in the arts or become an artist and also anyone who just wants to try something new

Youth Lab will consist of;

Learning and developing your creative skills with print-making and photography, meeting other art enthusiasts and making new friends. You will have the opportunity to meet professional artists and gallery staff who will be able to provide a better insight into those career paths. You will be able to create your very own workshops or events and due to CFCCA being quite focused on digital art, you will be able to use digital technologies to promote your own projects.
