East 15 - Voice, Text and Accents

We are pleased to announce that East 15's Summer Schools return to our Loughton campus this August. East 15 Acting School was one of the first conservatoires to offer Summer Schools aimed at those considering going to drama school, those wanting to know more about a particular area of acting, or those wanting to brush up on their skills.

Participants aged 17 or over can book for the East 15 summer courses on-line, and take advantage of our early bird offers which are available until 31 May 2017.

This course focuses on the use of the voice, and how actors can bridge the gap between themselves and the text and action of the script. Student will study a variety of texts and, using analytical skills, learn how to unlock motivations and character traits. As the week progresses, they will start to fully embody the imaginary world, create the life of a role and embody it vocally and physically, so that voice and acting become one. Students will also consider which accent and qualities might suit a character and will be offered strategies for learning.

Fee £490 (£50 discount if paid by 31 May)
