Colour Me Queer: Zine - Making Residency

The residency will run across three weekends at The GAP's space in Balsall Heath, Birmingham starting from the weekend of July 22nd.

The workshops are lead and guided by established artists from The GAP and Unmuted and external inputs provided by Holodeck Printers (http://www.theholodeck.co.uk/) & Sadie Young, Senior Researcher and Associate Lecturer of Curatorial History Theory and Practice.

Selected participants will be exploring themes around self-care, the importance of building a community as LGBT people of colour and highlighting the representation and voices of Queer People of Colour (QPOC).

As well as the making of the zine we will also be working together to facilitate public events, such as film evening and launch events.

This residency would be best suited towards emerging writers, artists, poets and photographers, who will have the opportunity to have their work published and exhibited across Birmingham.
