Enter Words of Unity poetry competition

Words of Unity is a poetry competition open to young people aged 11-18 and aims to inspire the leaders of the future to use their voices.

What is Words of Unity?

Words of Unity has been launched by Global Acts of Unity founder Mile Haines OBE, whose brother David Haines was murdered by Daesh in 2014. Mike has since dedicated his life to promoting unity, tolerance, and understanding.

The goal of the competition is to encourage young people to explore unity, strengthen their barriers against intolerance and become closer as a community within the school and beyond.

Mike Haines OBE, Founder of Global Acts of Unity said: "I’ve been inspired by many young people on my journey but I want to hear from many more. That’s why we have created Words of Unity to invite young people, as the leaders of tomorrow, to add their powerful and unique voices to this call for unity, acceptance, and understanding."
