The Young Audio Awards are the UK awards for 8 to 18 year olds and schools who love making audio.

Are you involved in radio, podcasts or audio projects and are aged between 8 to 18 years old? Why not enter the Young Audio Awards. 

You can enter in several categories, all found below. 

  • BBC Sounds Rising Talent Award
  • Arqiva Award for Technical Excellence
  • Best in Music
  • Best News, Sport and Documentary
  • Best in Comedy or Drama
  • Achievement within the Community
  • School Radio Station of the Year
  • Best use for Education (sponsored by schoolradio.com)
  • Most Innovative Team (supported by Broadcast Bionics)
  • Best Podcast.

How do I enter?

  • Entering is completely free.
  • You must submit a piece of audio relevant to your category. 
  • You must submit a written statement to help the judges understand more about your audio project. 
  • Visit the "How to Enter" page for more advice on submission.

What do I win?

Winner and nominees will receive opportunities to help you learn more about media and kickstart your career. These prices may look like industry mentoring, VIP studio tours and a show on a national radio station.
